The origin of Glyphic

When we started the company, the name was intentional. Inspired by hieroglyphics, it reflected our early focus on generative intelligence and language. Distinctive, a little scientific, and a good match for what we were building. It worked. It carried us through our first hires, our first funding rounds, our first customers. But products evolve. As hundreds of teams across dozens of countries rolled out the platform, it became clear we were building something much bigger than the name suggested. We were becoming an execution layer for teams beyond revenue — for entire organizations — and the name was quietly being left behind.

Why Airspeed

For the last decade, GTM software has been obsessed with visibility — dashboards, recordings, analytics — on the hollow promise that if you can see a problem, you can fix it. But visibility doesn’t move pipeline. Teams across revenue, product, and operations are still drowning in the operational weight of updating systems, chasing context, and manually managing risk. Airspeed is the antidote. We’re building an agent-native execution platform where AI agents work continuously across the workflows that run a company, so teams stop fighting friction and start operating at the velocity their business actually demands. The name comes from aviation. Airspeed is the measurement that tells a pilot whether the aircraft has enough lift to stay airborne — the difference between flying and falling. That’s what modern teams need from their software. Not another dashboard telling them what already happened. The lift to keep moving. Bold, precise, and always in motion.

What’s next

The fundamentals stay exactly the same — the same team, the same underlying product, the same dedication. But we finally have a name that matches the actual velocity of the teams we serve.
